Benny has been getting all fixed up nice and is preparing to head to Florida for the Senior + Youth National Conference (www.syncseniors.com) in St. Pete’s Beach. We depart in less than two weeks. A few “special”
people will be joining us on this Epic Journey. We will also be having a fundraiser along the trip for the son of a photographer friend of our that was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. We will be collecting some items from the photo industry for auction and having some contests all so watch closely for more details. Make sure you are following us on twitter because most of our posts and updates occur on www.twitter.com/bennythebus.
Benny has has some big updates done since his last cross country trip. The hippie bus got a totally new air brake system, new air suspension, the heat fixed, new tires, wheel studs, high tech media center, and lots of other upgrades including power door locks. Benny has come a long way in the last two months. Benny’s maintenance has been kind of neglected over the years and we have been fixing and improving most key systems. We added new hub seals and removed and replaced some broken bolts that were on the old hub seals. Benny’s engine had some major oil leaks and while the type of Detroit Diesel engine he has will never be leak free, his oil leaks have been reduced by 90%. Benny is now ready to pass a DOT inspection, which is not required with an RV but we have set a high standard for safety for Benny The Bus.
Benny’s interior has also had some really cool decor changes. We will be posting some images in the near future of the progress. Serendipity Backgrounds is stepping up and donation some amazing backgrounds for the trip. Scott Crosby will be conducting a special professional photography educational class for “United Professional Portrait Photographers Association” members while in Florida.
We are planning on taking Benny out to Vegas for WPPI next month too as long as everything goes good on the Florida trip. I am hoping that maybe Benny will be able to visit his old family while he’s out on the west coast. Fingers crossed.
Watch for more info coming soon and feel free to contact us if you would like to donate an item for our auction.

Thank you for doing this for the Garber family. We can’t express the thankfulness we feel.
