So big curve ball this morning… I get a call from Truckers 24 in Indianapolis where we took Benny for Service. Remember I sang their praises big time yesterday, I called them a head of time told them what I had, and the issues they say no problem, I drop him off and talk to them for like 30 min about what they will fix and look at….. THEN they call me this morning to say that they don’t work on buses! WTF? Hello jackass you website has a photo of a bus on a lift, your website says you work on “all types” of heavy duty vehicles. I called, you took it, and now you “don’t wok on buses” Now I’m really starting to get frustrated but trying to not let anger take over my thoughts… Just a few little internal F-bombs running through my thoughts but only as a venting process.
What do you do from here… I pick up the phone and start calling looking for a bus mechanic. call after call, getting sent from here to there and everywhere. I end up finding a place in KS Called Bus Service Inc. They were very nice to talk to on the phone, have lots of parts in stock for my bus. I am ordering the parts that it needs and either replacing them myself or at least have them on hand if I find a mechanic. The people at Bus Service Inc in Sharon Springs Kansas sound like they will really be a big help in the process of taking care of Benny. They have the sway bar bushings in stock and that was a part I was worried about being able to find. I have to leave on a location photo shoot now so I have to leave everything up in the air on the repairs of Benny for the rest of the day.
Seen your bus at Truckers, they used to do my work but I found a cheaper place that does great work on my 6 bus’s. There on the north-west side, small place but smart guys. Granted your bus is older but doesnt hurt to ask/try. Good work at fair $ is hard to find in Indy!
